These earrings feature a gorgeous pair of ancient Orthoceras fossil stones dangling from sterling silver ear wires. Each fossil has its own unique markings - but I was fortunate enough to find two similar in size & markings to make this one-of-a-kind pair. They have a brown hue - which is unusual, because these fossils are typically found in more black tones. This type of fossil is related to the modern day squid and are approximately 350 million years old. They are found in the Sahara Desert of Morocco where they were once ocean dwellers. Makes a great gift for anyone that loves natural stones and fossils!
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-1/2” from top of sterling silver ear wires and 5/8" at widest point.
