These striking lapis lazuli earrings were inspired by "Old World" designs and have an exotic, ancient Egyptian flair. Bold and unique, they will bring a touch of sophisticated elegance to everyday wear. The stones are a beautiful shade of blue with natural specks of pyrite. Pyrite is also known as "fools gold" because it tends to have a "gold" luster and appearance.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-1/2” from top of hand forged gold brass ear wires and 1-1/4" at widest point. I designed the earring shapes; sawed them out of solid gold brass sheet; then created the unique texture pattern into the metal. The brass was oxidized; buffed and polished to highlight the details; then sealed with jeweler's wax to resist tarnishing.
