These copper tribal shield earrings have a rustic, organic texture and are accented with African turquoise stones. Bold and striking, they have an ethnic tribal vibe and will make a statement!
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 3” from top of ear wires and 7/8" at widest point. They are shown with my hand forged copper ear wires. If you prefer niobium (hypoallergenic) ear wires - chose that option at checkout. I created the shields out of solid copper sheet; hammered the metal for a rustic, primal texture; then oxidized, buffed, polished and sealed it with jeweler's wax to resist tarnishing. They are signed on the back with my initials.
Although commonly known as African turquoise, this natural stone is a type of jasper found in Africa. It has a matrix structure similar to turquoise - with wonderful hues of green and blue, along with black and brown inclusions.
