These sterling silver earrings feature Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones dangling from handcrafted sterling silver. Stylish and versatile, they have a subtle southwestern -- yet modern flair and will make a striking statement! The turquoise originates from the Sleeping Beauty mine in central Arizona, USA. This mine is known for producing high quality turquoise that is a stunning shade of sky blue – reminiscent of the lovely blue skies here in the American Southwest. The mine closed in 2012, so this turquoise is becoming increasingly hard to find, which adds to its value.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-1/4" from top of sterling silver ear wires and and 1-1/8" at widest point. I created the shapes out of solid sterling silver sheet; created the texture into the metal: then oxidized it to enhance the detail. They are signed on the back with my initials and sterling stamp.
